Tanya’s Biography

Tanya bought Briar House together with her husband Pieter at the end of September 2010. Tanya’s home town is Truro in Cornwall. After leaving Penweathers School she started work at WHSmiths. She worked her way to Books manager until she took voluntary redundancy during a national restructure in the early 90’s.
Tanya moved to Devon when she met Pieter Burger. Tanya worked as a Negotiator for Westbury Homes covering Devon, Somerset and Avon. Westbury was taken over by Persimmon in 2006. This provided Tanya with a new role as a New Homes Demonstrator. This involved driving from Weston Super Mare down to Truro. In the 2008 housing downturn her job was one of the first to go.
Ever cheerful, Tanya took this in her stride. When the opportunity arose to buy a business and a family home, it seemed too good to be true. Briar House provides a great space to bring up the family. At the same time the parking business gave an opportunity to spend more time with her two children.
Tanya set up Exeter Airport Parking Ltd and has not looked back. Tanya always enjoyed working with people. Although this is far from her days working for large organisations, the same old sayings still apply. The customers always come first in our house. People are excited when they are going holiday and are tired when they come back. Either way they want a swift and efficient service at a fair price. Although he is not allowed to interfere, Pieter is called upon to help take people to the airport when he is not running his stock broking business. Exeter Airport Parking has provided a whole range of new friends. She even met some old ones when she received a parking enquiry form a lady in Polgooth who had looked after her brothers and sisters when they were young.
